    • Virtual webinars – free to Active LSMSS members
    • 2 in-person 1 day conferences 
    • LSMSS will submit applications to NAMSS to obtain CEU credits for the webinars and both conferences
    • Updates on regulatory and accreditation changes that directly impact medical staff professionals
    • Members are surveyed to provide educational topics of interest to ensure we are providing education to meet the needs of our members

  • Networking - Networking is LSMSS’ most valuable asset.  Getting to know your counterparts across the state of Louisiana opens up advancement and professional growth opportunities in both the virtual and in-person environments.  Research shows that learning from like professionals increases confidence and affirms whether you are doing things well or if you need change how you are doing things.  You will not get the glazed over expression when talking about what you do or sharing your excitement about your recent achievements in ensuring your organization is in compliance.  

  • Shared Resources - LSMSS prevents you from recreating the wheel!  The LSMSS is a sharing community and is a great way for you to quickly get: documents or clarifications on policies, delineation of privilege forms, clarifications on standards or research for improvements to your processes from MSPs across the state.

  • Job Opportunities - Need to fill an open position or looking for a new position? Check out the job postings on our website!  Your organization can post an ad for open positions free of charge.

  • Leadership - LSMSS provides many opportunities for our members to grow as leaders.  We have an education committee that plans our conferences, a webmaster to keep our website up to date, ad hoc committees as needed to review bylaws, membership recruitment, and a nominating committee to develop the slate of officers for election to the Board of Directors.  Utilize the opportunities afforded to you at the state level to grow as a leader and to advance yourself personally and professionally.
